Today, my mother went on a misogynistic tirade about how girls are backstabbing bitches, and nothing but trouble. She continued saying how she wishes my sister and I would make more guy friends, and stop being so damn girly all the time. Umm… has she forgotten who she gave birth to? FML

Let me guess, either Mom was the victim of “mean girls” at some point in her life or she has some degree of self-loathing. Either way, it’s not necessarily relevant to you. Sometimes you just have to let people rant and try to go to some other more productive conversation - Especially if they are close relatives. Let this be part of the motivation for you to some day have a job that pays well enough that you have your own place to live so you don’t have to listen to this kind of crap.
