This pisses me off. I actually have a back injury affecting my sex life (and my wife’s) and him using that excuse cheapens my injury. At this point, kick him to the curb. Maybe if he had such an injury, he’d know how debilitating it really is. I would rather have lost a limb, than my back. The back affects EVERYTHING I do, and chronic pain sucks. I’m lucky if I can get 3-4 hours of sleep a night without waking in extreme pain, and it’s been 10 years of that. If you kick him out, make sure your foot hits his spine. Then he’ll truly know what back pain is.
Exactly the same life I live. When I am able to give it up (definitely not often enough), my boyfriend is really thankful and happy. He's never harassed me or made me feel bad with my back injury and is always so understanding. A true relationship is based on love, acceptance, and all that. I've never experienced what some of these people have to live with. My answer op is your in the wrong relationship.
You may or may not be rubbish in bed but if he's making no effort, he's definitely rubbish in bed.
time to kick him to the curb.
Why don't you up your game? Give him a surprise golden shower or rusty trombone and see if he thinks you're boring anymore.
