Today, my dumbass cat won't stop screaming and whining at me because I won't let him go outside. It's winter, and this is the Midwest. He did this without my knowledge once before and had almost frozen to death by the time I figured out where he was. Also, he's too loud for earplugs to drown him out. FML

Today, my incredibly needy rescue cat - who knows she doesn't get to go into my bedroom at night - decided that she needed to wail and scratch the bedroom door from midnight until 5 a.m. Now that I'm awake, she's ignoring me because she knows I'm mad at her. FML

Today, my cat locked herself in the bathroom and screamed until she was let out, for what seems like the millionth time this week. It took me a while to realize she's doing it on purpose for attention. She is loved and cared for; I've never neglected her. Apparently, it's still not enough. FML

Today, my cat tried to escape when I opened my front door. I noticed that whenever I start babbling and making random sounds, he stops dead and just stares at me in confusion, before walking back in. With my luck, however, this time my neighbor heard everything. They walked quickly away, as if they'd seen a ghost. FML

Today, I thought I heard a nasty storm brewing, even though there was no warning that one would occur. I then realized it was one of my cats, stuck behind a chair and trying to escape with little success. Yes, her escape attempts were that noisy. FML

Try walkies. Once your cat is into his harness and out the door, either he will enjoy the walk or he will stop pestering you to go outside.

Make sure you put the harness on him right next to the door and open it straight away so that catkin immediately starts associating harness with going out. If you just put the harness on without any context for it, they tend to bork and fall over. It's a pain in the arse when your cat demands out to play in 4ft of snow and subzero temperatures but if he's fluffy with a double coat then you're in husky territory. My floof ball Persian LOVES the cold and ice 🙄. If it's a short hair then I'm sorry but you're in dumb territory but the pics of the winter coat cat harness will be worth it.
