Hyperrealism

Today, I was rejected for a dream photography job that involves travelling all over the world, because according to the interviewer, half the photos in my nature portfolio were "blatantly photoshopped." I guess reality isn't realistic enough for some people. FML

That's awful. Maybe you could try to show your portfolio to another member of management? It might not do any good because you have already been rejected, but if your work is so excellent that someone automatically thinks that it has been photoshopped then someone there has to appreciate it. Good luck, OP. Art is a beautiful thing.

Well when they meant nature portfolio they didn't mean a bunch of different sex positions Op.

Its sad how quick people are to judge from how deceiving phtoshopping is.

Well, nowadays it can get hard to tell the difference between Photoshop and real

I guess that shark playing a tuba while swimming in jello wasn't realistic to him. TOO BAD,THAT IS OUR REALITY!

Either the guy was jealous, or just an idiot.

It would have sucked if this post had been rejected for being "fake".

Alberta Canada ? Me too Op ! What was the name of the job that you were going for ? Maybe someone could call in and recommend you for your work.

"Yes, hello? I'd like to speak to the boss please... The big cheese, the chief, the big kahuna. Oh? Who am I, you ask? Well, sir, I am an entirely objective anonymous Internet user calling to give a reference for a job I know nothing about for a person on the Internet I've never met. No, I don't have an appointment. Yes, I'll hold. Thank you." ...Oh, Canada, indeed.

Definitely creeper status... P.S; Trying to score a phone # or personal info on FML will absolutely get you down-voted.

#25 was more like "Hmm, I'm good at photography, maybe I should apply for that as well. Now to find a way to ask for the position name without people noticing...". Nice try, but you'll have to try harder next time.

He was just jealous of your excellent photography skills. Maybe he isn't the expert he claims to be if he can't tell a photo apart from a photoshopped nature shot. Good luck next time, OP!

The outside world vexes me..... I'll just stay inside and pretend to be an expert.
