Internship troubles

By bibou2324 - 18/04/2012 20:41

Today, during my first day as a doctor’s intern, I attended a consultation. The embarrassed patient asked me to leave. Not really knowing my way around, I went through the first door I could find. By the time I realized it was a closet, I didn’t dare come back out. Twenty minutes is a long time to wait. FML

Well congratulations on finally coming out of the closet! :) But that's beside the point, did you find Narnia?

Yes, you should be. It was all your fault.

Better toughen up before you actually become a doctor! This is marvelously embarrassing. The other doctor(s) had to have known it was a closet too! Haha! Sorry op!

if you open the door before walking inside, wouldnt you have realized it was a closet?

Just my thoughts, when opening a door which you didn't have in mind to enter, why enter instead of close and try the next one?

This is a storyline R. Kelly could work with...

Damn it! I didn't see you there now 42(my comment) isn't as fresh as I thought! *sobs*

you could've run back out, looked around, and said "Aslan says hi!" then run out the correct door

Might as well run to the psychiatric ward while you're at it, they'll get you the help you need.

Nothing says "I'm a loose cannon!" better than spaz-walking into a closet, bursting back into the room you were just asked to leave while cracking a joke referencing a children's story (albeit an excellent one), and then running out. I like it.

The closet door is made of all different types of wood, my friend- FIRED UP

I'd "I'll meet with you tomorrow" and vanished

I have a rare disease. It causes tumors to grow on my nerves so I have to have a lot of surgery. The doctors always bring the interns in to see me because it's rare. I always let them look at me. Sorry the patient made you leave. You missed a learning experience.

A. I hope you're feeling well. B. Not every case is rare so he/she might not have missed much except practical experience (still important but not rare). C. When I was having my first baby, the intern turned green and left the room flushed. After that I had a no intern policy during delivery unless it was an actual Ob/Gyn intern.

When I gave birth to my second child there was a team of 3 interns watching. They all thanked me for letting them watch their first baby :) They seem to get reject a lot lol

It'd grow on my nerves if I had tumours too

So did you hear what the patient's secret was??

so the patient isnt intitled to some privacy when dealing with a maybe imberassing discussion?
