There's casual and there's work appropriate, totally your fault
If there was heavy lifting involved, it wasn't like you were going to be doing it as a woman. So why wear a t-shirt? Not trying to be offensive, but realistically, you could have just worn your everyday attire and it would have been acceptable. And to be honest, if I had a shirt that awesome, I wouldn't have risked damaging at work.
