Today, I flew to Germany to meet up with a girl that I met in America 5 months ago and fell in love with. We've been talking every day for 5 months straight. I get here just for her to tell me that she likes me "like a brother". FML

Today, my long distance friend-with-benefits informed me she's now in a relationship with an amazing guy. I should be happier for her, as even I admit he is perfect for her. Too bad I just spent over a thousand dollars on plane tickets to visit her. The tickets are completely nonrefundable. FML

Today, I invited over my best friend, whom I've loved for over a year, since she had to tell me "something important". I got excited and thought she was going to tell me she loved me too. She ended up coming out to me, and wanted to know if I would meet her girlfriend. FML

People have no respect for marriage these days... I've lost count of how many people seem to think OP telling her before she gets married will make any difference. If she's engaged, that more than likely means she's completely in love with the girl/guy she's with now. Tough shit, should have spoke sooner (assuming she even had any feelings for you in that way). And "friend zone"? That's just an excuse for people who either don't have the balls to say something, or get turned down because they're just not into you.
