Left hanging out to dry

Today, I clogged the toilet at my boyfriend's house. I couldn't fix it and was too ashamed to say anything. I can't handle confrontation, so I had to just sit there as my boyfriend's brother ended up getting blamed, then grounded for "lying" about it not being his fault. FML

Aw, poor you. But seriously, screw you and **** the brother's life. Of course it's embarrassing, but you really couldn't have taken your boyfriend aside and quietly explained the situation before it became an issue?

I couldn't agree more. OP needs to grow the hell up, take responsibility, and get her bf's brother off the hook for her screw up. This is a YDI if I ever saw one.

Give him a bj and your lying ,scummy ways will be forgotten.

You are a terrible person. Can't wait until it comes back around.

Look, regardless of whether you were ashamed, you still need to remedy this now. This is not something that just goes away for everyone else's family dynamics when the toilet is unclogged, or even when the grounding is over. You seriously need to tell either your boyfriend, his parents, or worst comes to worst ask someone else to tell, whatever is most comfortable, but they do still have to be informed. It would not and really still is not - for you - a big deal to mention that you clogged the toilet at someone's house. It happens to everyone, but you must be mature enough to tell someone if you're unable to remedy the situation yourself.

That's pathetic. Just deal with stuff. Or get help so you can deal with stuff. You owe his brother an apology, even if you're only able to do it via text or something. But get help.

Sometimes we are conflicted with tough situations. Letting somebody else take the blame is wrong and karma will eventually seek its course. Shame on you and please learn from your mistake.

FYL for you letting someone else take the blame for your screwup AND for them being pegged as a liar as they maintained their innocence? Yeah... Okay.

I lose all sympathy for you when you let an innocent boy suffer and lose his privileges because you didn't want to handle some awkward conversation and fix the problem. Seriously, that's pretty awful but it's not too late to fix it.
