Living my best life

By disappointed - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff

Today, I got to live my life's dream of going whale watching. Apparently my true life's dream was to get extremely seasick, sunburned to a crisp, and pay $60 to see only seagulls in the end. FML

Expect the worst, hope for the best. Sorry OP

Going whale watching is kind of lame for a "life dream", but whatever floats your boat i guess.

That's exactly what I was thinking...

Just because it's lame to you doesn't mean it IS lame.

Erm... I know we are entitled to our own opinions, but to go whale watching is someones life dream? I don't think that's all the suitable. I thought a life dream was supposed to be hard to achieve...? Or was I totally off target?

No it doesn't have to be hard to achieve. It's just something you really want to do, and for OP it was whale watching. I mean, my life dream is to get tattooed by Corey Miller. We all have 'em, so who are you to shit on someone else's dreams?

You should probably change your life dream, considering the sea-sickness. FYL OP :(

That's shitty. My friend told me she was whale watching once turns out she was referring to watching her mom swim at her aunts house lolx) she's terrible

Now at least you'll have a nice tan to show off.. Once you've finished peeling, or until the redness goes away

Usually if you get burnt to a crisp you don't get a tan at all because it all peels off. There's basically no upside to this FML.

Well you can't expect nature to perform on cue just for your benefit.

But you'd expect people who organize the whale watching event to know when and where the whales will show it's their job to track them down at least thats what discovery channel taught me.

Whoa. Discovery still does shows on animals? Weird.... Its been ages since I've seen one on there. And no company guaruntees whale sightings. Its impossible when they travel as much as they do. However, usually if the tour is offered "in season" you at least see SOMETHING.
