48- nope, he just sounds like someone whom were caught up in the moment of looking at 9 couples. That's a lot of couples, and as a single I would've felt slightly overwhelmed and would've been provoked into thinking about my minus 1 situation. It happens...

Umm no to you and no to Notdave, the phrase is "5th wheel" which is a type of trailer. Hence, why a person that feels "drug along" feels like "the 5th wheel"
