Today, I tried to break up with my boyfriend, because he's too manipulative. By the time our chat ended, instead of being single, I'm somehow now committed to going on vacation with him and his family. FML

Dude, how does that even happen? I understand its hard to breakup with someone but if hes manipulative you have to get a backbone and just do it.

You should have done this in person. It shows that you are determined and feels more real. Also breaking up electronically is kind of rude.

My first serious girlfriend did that to me as we were breaking up. She tried to guilt me into staying with her by saying she was getting us first class tickets on the plane and a free one week's trip to Disney World that was already all paid for. I didn't fall for that. Wasn't my problem as she really hurt me.
