Neat

Today, I worked for three hours writing very neat notes with one of those pens that erase. I felt very accomplished, so decided to share it on Facebook. I brought my computer over to my lap on top of my notes. Turns out heat from laptops smudges ink from eraseable pens. I can't read my notes. FML

You felt "accomplished" because you wrote neatly? You really set the bar low, don't you?

Three hours isn't really a long time if you're a student... so ydi.

Who the **** wants to share their notes on FB as an accomplishment?

@33 and 24: You two clearly are not college students. Just to let you know, there are a mountain load online discussion boards and course materials online. Although the OP may have indeed logged onto facebook, don't you think after 3 hours of work, a break would be nice? I certainly spend more than an hour a day on the computer surfing, through both sites like FML and blogs as well as read my news. There is no indication that the OP only spent "a short while" on the computer, neither was their any reference that they were cramming for an exam.

nobody cares about your notes.

wow. wth. her posting a status on facebook isn't about the NOTES Einsteins it's about the accomplishment! of re writing or writing her notes neatly. i know i feel very accomplished when i do something that's well done. seriously, some ppl need to stop being so superficial.

my teacher left my hw in the car and the heat erased it. out your paper in the freezer. seriously.

You obviously don't know how eraseable pens work. When you rub the eraser over the ink, the friction creates heat. The heat renders the ink invisible. The eraser itself is not actually removing the ink, it's the heat it creates when you rub it on the paper. So if you put anything hot on it, like a laptop, then yes it would smudge and possibly completely erase the ink. That's also why you shouldn't leave notes written in eraseable ink on a hot dashboard. You didn't deserve it, but it was still kinda your fault :P

Why did you put the laptop on top of your notes anyways? Shouldn't you have put them in a binder or something?

Put them in the freezer, it will bring back your notes.
