Today, I was helping my mom pack for our family vacation. We were both talking about how excited we were, when she turned to me and said, "Would you be offended if I asked you not to come? It's just… I want to have fun." FML

Maybe the OP's mom meant "fun" by having sex with some guy she meets on the vacation. She probably thought if the daughter came, she would tell her her dad what her mom was doing. We'll never know..

That's true. That's how I saw this FML. She wants to drink, have fun, and not have to drag around a teenager. Its not that your not fun, its that you can't have the same kind of fun with a kid. So not FYL more like, just wait till your older?

Yes you can...every single time I went on a real vacation with my parents I hardly spent ANY time with them. I was 14 and 16 the both times we went to Greece and Turkey, they hung out at the pool I spent most of the time at the beach. The only time we really saw each other was at night in the room or for breakfast and dinner. What they did the rest of the day? I never knew and will never know. All I know is they had fun with whatever they did and I had fun with all the games at the beach.

45-it was a FAMILY vacation! Obciously she could go! And im prettey sure the dad would go unless they are divorced or something of the sort!:)
