Not all weed "slows you down". There are many types of weed from many types of marijuana plants, you know? Some make you stoned, others get you high. It's entirely possible they were getting high from weed. But it's also possible they were on crack.

"stoned" and "high" are different words with the same meaning, being under the influence of marijuana. The words aren't differentiated between the type of high you get. Do you have some definitions for baked, smacked and toked, too?

Addicted to it just from the smell? It's not even physically addicting, and mentally addicting on rare cases, and that's if you basically constantly smoke and stay high. You're not going to get addicted to a product just from the scent. Or else I'd be addicted to cigarettes and old people because I'm always with my grandma, and, well. You get the point.

Well me beating my neighbor is better than murdering them but they are both still illegal. If you always look at things as being better than something else you only set your limits one step above the lowest. Also, if they are breaking the law by doing it than it is not very responsible.

not really. if you do it in a safe, controlled environment, an don't operate machinery, it's likea 2 hour period of deep thoight. It's like going 5mph over the speed limit. As long as you limit yourself, you won't hurt yourself or anyone else. (ps: it's only illegal because the government has no way to tax it, or at least hasn't found a way yet)

No where does this fml say the mother was smoking around the child, more likely the mother got high in a different part of the house then came and played with the child and simply smelled like pot.

There's just little info in the original FML... What I was trying to say, was that the problem with me would be smoking near the child or while pregnant and maybe abusing the substance.... I don't think it's worrying for a parent to be smoking pot, if the are responsible and discreet about it... Maybe the mother also had a medical condition that pot helped her with. There's way worse OP, an alcoholic or drug-addict parent,an abusive parent... Don't be too hard on your mom...

I'm a legal marijuana medical user. I'm 17. Yes there are negative effects, but long term it helped with my cancer, anxiety, insomnia, troubles getting hungry, nausea, muscle pains from my car accident. My mother was heavily influenced by marijuana (she was a hippie). She smoked it with me on her lap and so did my father. Nothing ever happened to my body till about age 4/5 due to my uncle making ecstasy in the bathroom. Now THAT is dangerous and bad to expose children to.

Accually yes 4 miles above is speeding that why the sign says "max" and you can get a ticket for it. Btw you live in the US so if you've ever had sex that was not "consentual, heterosexual intercourse between 2 maried adults" then ur a lawbreakers those laws are still on the federal books

Perhaps you should re-read the scientific journals. 5sec on google should about do it. Or go visit the library. There's lot of stuff out there that shows it is psychologically addicting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-pot at all. I think it's ludicrous that MJ is illegal while alcohol and tobacco are legal. Either make them all illegal or make them all legal. The tobacco companies already have marketing stuff ready and waiting for the day. The cannabis plant and its hemp cousin have lots of useful applications.

And those usefull applications are why it is illegal. Alcohol companies think it will cut in to there profit. Paper companies realise it's cheaper to make paper with hemp then with wood and big drug companies can't patent it.
