He couldn't have kept his mouth shut? The gall of people amaze me. Have some decency; yes, the child is annoying (even to the mother!) but that's no reason to be an absolute dick face to her because your ears are bothered.

A kid shouldn't be locked up in the house. I can't stand children crying and it tends to make me have to leave the area or store, but expecting a parent to never take their child out is ridiculous. If you can't handle children being in the world, lock yourself up.

Ok, as rude as that was, I think that would have made an awesome condom commercial. Picture a screaming child, and a frustrated parent, trying to calm him/her down. Suddenly the Trojan man gallops in on his white horse, looks at the audience and says: "This could have been prevented by- (cue "TROJAN MAN" overture)" Any codom company that uses that commercial or one like it, would be my go to brand.

That is hilarious! It's really annoying having to hear children screaming when you're just trying to shop or work. People really need to have some control over their children, or maybe just don't bring them into the store at all. Get ready for the butthurt parental comments

What an ass! And shame on those who say OP deserves it. As far as this man knew OP's child could be autistic or have some other sensory disorder that was causing them to be upset. You should NEVER, EVER say something so hurtful to someone. Especially about the most important thing in their life. You never know what someone is dealing with or what they go through daily and hateful comments like that will only make it worse. You're all a bunch of jackasses. OP, I'm sorry you had to deal with this!

For that matter, as far as anybody here knows, OP's child could have been adopted! And no matter the circumstances... he's a person, not a mistake. He's doing what kids do. Part of the human experience. Every parent has been there!

That is terrible advice. No one should do that. It is people like this that cause people to ignore real assaults. Deal with the problem like a real, civilized adult in an appropriate way.
