Did you prepare to fail or fail to prepare? The good thing is when those topics are covered, you'll ace that test and counterbalance the clusterfuck you're about to endure.
YDI. you should study all the time and not just for tests.
studying all the time is great if you can remember it all. otherwise studying from the time you know what the test will outline is significantly easier and more reliable for most people. I know they say calculators wont be around to save you at work...but they are, most bosses want the use of a calculator because doing math in your head is a neat trick... but they want the right answer even if you have to Google it...
Even programmers google solutions. I don’t think i’ve seen an expert not look a difficult thing up or do research. Even the best lawyers have to hit the books sometime in their career to do a job. The issue here is that the person didn’t even bother to ask the teacher the scope of what is covered to study. This is minimal life skills. If I’m expected to fix a computer for a bad hard drive, i don’t go research how water dams are built, do I? C’mon, get it together. At least you aren’t a rocket scientist. I’d be afraid you’d install a boat engine and then act surprised when it crashes down due to improper engines installed since you didn’t check to see it wasn’t a boat you were launching beforehand.
