Today, I was looking forward to languishing on the beach for a few days of a “much needed vacation” when I literally got called back into work on my way to the beach. FML

They better have a damn good reason for me to cancel and return...I would make it clear I will be expecting a compensation for this. If it were family leave, I'd be having a chat with HR.

Tell them that when you booked your vacation time it wasn't a request, it was notice. You are now unavailable abd not on call, and they'll have to make do until your scheduled return.

I'm so sorry. You missed your chance to poop in some kids' hole and have them fight about who did it. You've worked hard -- you deserve that chance.

yes why on earth dis you answer. it's ok to makw yourself unavailable while off work. especially on vacation
