you sir, are special.
i've helped my friend deliver papers before...and when you're dead tired at what 5:00am or so...it's really easy to make those mistakes. it's not really the OP's fault :P
Could this be any faker? In the UK, where the OP is apparently from, papers have to go through the letter box when delivered certainly making them impossible to get back, even if you did manage in some idiotic way to get it wrong.
Not where I live. We have a little thing next to our mailboxes, in which our newspapers go into.
-deleted- Obviously I didn't mean to respond to myself.
they give you a list of addresses...but if you've been on the route for a while, then you pretty much go off rememberence. sometimes you get a new house...and the people will just call you and tell you.
See that is how I assumed it worked. How the heck would you mess up an entire route then? Wrong street?
how do you know they're from the UK? you're just being an idiot. in the US you just throw the papers on the persons porches...or for the more elderly people in little mailboxes. and it's not like the people are standing outside waiting for it so you would have time to switch the papers.
I am curious about this UK letter box idea though. Is it true of the entire UK? Does everyone in the UK have a letter box? I am assuming this is similar to a mail slot. I doubt there is any way to know for sure if it works this way where the OP lives. Unless there is some kind of universal law covering the entire UK stating that newspapers MUST be delivered by being placed in a letter box and that every home must have a letter box. And the FML states the OP is from the UK.
Well that's good to know, thank you. Where I am we don't care if it rains because our papers are in plastic bags so they just get thrown on the lawn rain, snow or shine.
i'm from solihull! :)
ZOMG so many people from Solihull! :'D
are you as well? :)
How do you mess up a paper route? Were you whiting yourself out to more than one paper? Did you deliver to houses that you didn't deliver to or vice-versa?
This is why you're working at a paper route.
lol omg lol!!!
