Practice makes perfect

Today, I posted a picture of a drawing that I was so proud of on Twitter. It was the best drawing I’ve ever done. A few minutes later, someone commented saying, “What is this?” Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for me. FML

One problem with social media is there is no filter on the comments. Don’t take seriously seriously one or a few comments. Unfortunately sometimes others pile onto earlier negative comments so they grow in numbers. Sometimes people comment negatively because of envy or ignorance and sometimes they do so honestly. If you want honest feedback wait a while and see how it trends. If you want artistic feedback show it to someone in the artistic community if you can.

dont worry about the people hating on you...keep going forward with your art...and never let them neg you. They're just jealous and want to make sure you dont succeed.

Doesn't look like the drawing board is working for you. When your best work is unrecognizable, you need to change everything including where you create your so-called art.

not in an assholeish way, but it is good that you respond to comments like that by drawing something else. it means the comments, while shitty, are not making you give up. And social media is a cesspool most of the time, maybe find an art based discord group for more constructive feedback since discord groups tend to be all about dropping the ban hammer over shittyness.

Not sure why they felt so confident about posting something negative, and I'm sure it stung a bit, but in the end it doesn't matter very much. I'm not an artist, but it's my understanding that just as each work is unique, so is each person's like or dislike of that art. If you were pleased with your work, then that should be the most important opinion! Just remember that you'll never please everyone since you can't read minds and no two people are going to all like the same exact works.
