Maybe he was playing a game with his kid. Honestly, if I don't have time to do me things and I feel like all my down time is spent not doing anything I want to do because of a relationship, I'd start being resentful and end up wanting to end the relationship. He probably felt like the time he had to spend working, with his kid and with you meant he had no time to do things he wanted to do. Has to work to support his kid. Has to take care of his kid, so you were the only thing he could give up. IDK... that's just a possible reason I'd decide I don't want to be in a relationship, especially since he said that as his reason. A vacay sounds like less time doing what he wants and more time doing what you want. I've had that type of relationship many times where the guy would want to come over and spend the entire day with me and that was my only day off, and I'm left kind of resenting him because I'm tired, stressed and I didn't get to relax or destress how I'd want to because he was all up in my space the whole day. I'm an odd gal tho and I do like my alone time from time to time. I can't do 24/7 constantly with you types of relationships. Not if I'm going to be able to survive at work with these batshit crazy patients I end up always having too.

Yes cause he can only ever do those two things he mentioned and never game... seriously op judging him for gaming he is allowed down time between hiskid and career.
