Im not sure OP meant they had only been on the job 5 months. And yes if you have been recognized as being such a good employee twice in 5 months expecting a pay bump is not greedy. Thats how it is supposed to work. You work hard and do a good job you move up and make more money. Giving a piece of chocalate like the OP was a grade school kid who did good on their spelling homework is insulting. What has this country come to where we allow employers to treat us like dirt pay us 3rd world wages (when factoring in the cost of living here) and then when we wonder why our hard work isnt rewarded in a meaningful way we are called greedy and ungrateful? People who call OP greedy are the ones who allowed our country to decimate the middle class all in the name of corporate profits, and extreme ceo pay/bonus' while the rest of us can go **** ourselves and starve in the streets while working 60+ hours a week. Seriously we are becoming a third world nation to serve our corporate masters.

you were praised for your hard work and dedication? wow... you should quit. the absolute nerve of those people... I've worked hard everyday for the past 9 years at my job and still haven't received a raise... they just told me to lose weight because they needed someone for the new commercial.
