Today, for the second time in 5 months, I was recognized for my hard work, sincerity, and all the adjectives that they use to describe good employees. What was my reward? A piece of chocolate. FML

I know how that is. It could be worse though. My boss tells me everyday that I'm amazing and that the store looks great!! (I'm a cashier at a larger sized gas station.) In the whole 9 months I've been employed, I've only been written up on 3 minor infractions (due to lack of training, mostly) and I've never had a complaint. I haven't gotten a commendation, chocolate/candy, or that promotion she knows I'm working my @$$ off for.
