Red cheeked

Today, my dryer broke in the middle of drying my essential work clothes. This resulted in me wearing partially-dried pants to work today. As a nanny I have encountered diaper rashes before, just not on myself. FML

Ugh. That's rough, OP. I'm sorry. Nobody likes the feeling of damp clothes.

Baby powder is your friend. Hope you get that fixed soon OP!

It's a bit odd that you did not have another already washed and dried article of clothing ready to wear, for a job you go to regularly. Learn from this OP, always have an alternative planned; you never know when you might need it.

A lot of places only give you one or two uniforms. Unless OP did laundry every day, it's quite possible that they had to wash both sets at the same time.

What exactly are "essential work clothes" for a nanny? Can you not just wear pretty much whatever you want?

I actually have a set wardrobe only for work due to the stains one acquires when watching wee ones and cleaning the house.

so you COULD have worn something else, you simply chose not to? no sympathy for a sadist, OP. hope your rash gets better though. (:

I do childcare. You're making this way to complicated. I have never felt the need to have a seperate wardrobe for work. And I have 5+ kids that I watch regularly.

Maybe next time do your laundry the night before so that way you have time to find another option to dry your clothes before work the next day? I dunno just a suggestion.

just make sure you wipe properly to avoid further irritation

Well Jeeze you obviously have never had a bad day

Which begs the question, where is your extra pair?

One thing you could've done was wear something else for the time being, and take that set for the day and finish drying them while on the job? Granted it would've been a pain to take wet clothes, but still better than getting a diaper rash

Why would you wash ALL of your work clothes at the same time? Always keep some out for unforseen events.
