Someone has to use the handbrake in this relationship
Is this one of those cases where he's been in this relationship longer than you have?
I'd run, OP. Seriously, people like that have issues. I once talked to a guy who suddenly had our lives together all planned out and wanted me to be a mother to his 2 girls. This is not even a man I ever met in person. It was only someone I talked to on a dating site. He recently found me on Facebook. Creepy.
I had a crazy ex like that once. Didn't end well.
dating =/= known. known my BF nearly a year, dating for 4 months... big difference.
i don't see why this is the first instinct people have. as an American who immigrated here i find that people as a general rule are too critical. the severity of this differs with context. as someone else pointed out, dating for 2 weeks doesn't mean they haven't known themselves longer, and also, there are some people with personalities that wouldn't come off as creepy. like Ted Mosby, for example.

Go to Mexico say no to proposal. Have fun. Then run.
I say you run, run as fast as you can. That's scary.
