that can be very good for the project
Just keep taking pictures to resemble the effects of humanity to the world.
That's ok, just keep taking the pictures. It might make the project more interesting.
Take a pic of its stump or of where it was, put them all together and it tells a sad story, tada art!
If you just took a picture of the tree gone and planted a new one to replace it and kept taking your pictures every day, your project would have still worked and would have been a lot more interesting.
An even better project...take pictures of the empty space to add to show the transitory nature of all life.
