If you're in a clean environment you feel much better. That's actually one of the reasons hospitals use so much white and clean several times a day.
They're actually usually off tones of beige and are not as clean as you'd like to think.
Your mom is right on. She hates gays and is crushed that you are not giving her grandchildren.
What an accurate username you have.
Of course she told you all of this.
Well at least it would distract you, lol. Don't hospitals keep things clean because they're *hospitals*?
it's good advice! there are so many things in relationships that are subjective and complicated, and what's good in one breakup situation might not work in the next. her advice sounds a little snarky, but it would distract you, give you a goal, give you something to think about that isn't your partner or your breakup. it would give you a little time to wind down before you think about dealing with your emotions. the physical effort would get some endorphins in your body moving, too, and they really will make you feel better. plus... at least the house would be clean. :)
 i agree with # 4, 7, 20, and 2
****** your gay, you have no friends fight me nigga!::8;&;8:&:&;@":
Mom's channeling Birdie Draper in this one, but I agree. Focus on something mundane, be productive, work up a sweat, and let "the guy in the basement", as Stephen King calls it, process the breakup before you bring it to the forefront of your mind.
eh your mother was right, it does work. i tend to clean when im stressed though. not depressed.
definitely not FML. cleaning the house is good advice.

It's actually good advice.
Cleaning actually does help. Not only does it takes your mind off things, but it can also give you a sense of accomplishment, which can sometimes be hard to come by after a serious breakup. It's a very good outlet, and can improve your mood entirely. I'm sorry though OP. Maybe this will give you a chance to feel better? And afterwords... nothing's stopping you from also making cookies.
