Run run run

By runner - 14/11/2009 07:15 - United States

Today, I went for a run in a new pair of shoes that left me with huge blisters. As I finished cleaning them up so they could heal, I limped to my bed to take a nap. I was woken by the fire alarm. My building was having a drill and we couldn't use the elevators. I live on the 9th floor. FML

your apartment has fire drills? I've never heard of that. I've had fire alarm tests in my building but never drills where I had to leave. If I was you I would of just ignored it. They can't force you to if you don't want to

Just go to sleep. They don't even need to know you were IN the building.

Ah, that must have flat out sucked. You probably could have just stayed alseep though. It isn't like they'd go and check.

i used to live in a college dorm and during fire drills they actually did open all the doors and check for fire hazards. i know this because during a fire drill my roommate and i got written up for having lights hung up. woops

That still doesn't stop the pain of the blisters.

That really sucks. When I was a freshman, the fire alarm in my dorm went off several times during the night. They weren't allowed to turn it off and we were forced to go out for each one. Public Safety just laughed at us.

You could have just slid down the railing. =]

for future reference : running shoes especially you have to put them on and walk with them for at the very least a week in order to "break them in" to avoid blisters and watnot as for the fire drill you couldve stayed in bed

this is just annoying. do you not have any flip flops or open-back shoe SOMEWHERE in your apartment? cause personally I have about 20 pairs. this is just DUMB. you deserve the unbearable blisters for not having the slightest common sense to run and grab a different pair of shoes.

Aw, man, sounds like west chester u to me. I hate fire drills. they suck, 'specially in the middle of winter. Or a shower.
