what is audiology!?:S
aww poor OP. Honestly it's eeasy to take an accedrin or however it's spelled and get on with the day, you can't blame the "practically" deaf people for not knowing how loud they are. And be happy they aren't almost silent and you wasting your time trying to hear them. Hang in there OP!
oops on 57 i meant "easy" not "eeasy"... :/
so how can Deaf people use the phone and shout? they're not that dumb... unless you're referring the relay person who was actually shouting for them.
"practically deaf" means har of hearing, you idiot. that means they can still hear a bit. but they need to hear them selves so the speek louder. do u understand or do i need to speak up?
You should be aware that "practically" deaf people tend to shout more when YOU'RE being too quiet for them to hear you, which makes them subconsiously become louder because they want you to be louder. If you speak louder, which you should, you won't get yelled at, at least not as much. And watch how you describe your job. I'm one of those "practically deaf" people who goes to those audiology offices. Yours does not sound like a good office, not with such a cranky receptionist. Also, the term is "hearing impaired," or "hard of hearing."
agreed! I go too and don't appreciate her choice of words. so rude! ydi for being an insensitive a-hole.
you re full of crap. deaf people don't scream in phone. they have videophone service and uses relay to communicate with u. you re the one screaming in their ears to see if they passed or failed the hearing test.
I find this FML offensive, i'm Deaf myself and i don't yell, actually most Deaf people know if they are yelling or not and tend to do it on perpose.
im fully deaf in both ears and i find this extremely offensive. also i wonder how you were even hired to work at the audiologist since you dont even care about the hard of hearing people you are talking to.
