You're delusional. Your therapist is playing Words With Friends while randomly asking, "So, how does that make you feel?" every few minutes. No one is listening.
And listening is a very large part of your therapist’s job and they are the only one in your circle trained to listen without judgement and offer you helpful advice… I have suffered from depression on and off in my life and used psychologists and counselors to get help. Family and friends simply do not have the training, nor are they paid to listen or trained to keep what they hear to themselves. Sometimes friends and family can be helpful, some of them not, and a few might even be triggers for your problems. Keep on going to your therapist if you feel they are helping you - If not see a different one. But I think it sounds like your therapist is helping. Listening comes first, then you need to listen and use the helpful advice from your therapist on how to handle the stressors in your life.
