been there =(
Feels almost like you weren't invited to your own birthday party sort of? Bleh. I wasn't invited to my 18th. Dumb story.
if you got your bum off the wall, maybe it could be out on the dance floor grinding other bums :)
Rather than hang out at the wall, get out there and dance. You only have a good time if you want to.
YDI ... you need to put yourself out there and not stand in the freaking corner like a wallflower. Seriously what do you have to worry about? These people are obviously your friends, or at least they don't hate you, cause they showed up so you should have interacted more. I feel no sympathy for you. Happy Birthday, though!
To everyone saying it's their own fault: It's not really, is it? I doubt they started the party standing there. They were probably being ignored from the off, which means that they need some better friends. I agree that maybe they should've tried to mingle some more, but it's not entirely their fault. Stop being so ******* rude and insensitive :)

Happy Birthday!
Get out there and dance! You can complain about things or you can have fun. When you're out with people, be the creator not the detractor. You and everybody else will have a better time. Trust me. I've been the wall person. It's not fun. And Happy Birthday!
