Well, maybe they knew you would want to know about the biological parent(s). And they didn't want to make you feel bad knowing your birth mom dumped you in a trash can or abused you severely as an infant? Not all pafents who give up their baby for adoption are good people, they didnt have the heart to explain, for fear of hurting you.

not all parents who give up their child are bad people either. that includes my biological parents. and besides, I think kids deserve to know why they were given up no matter how bad it was

Wow I'm so sorry. I was adopted too but I knew when I was 5 or 6. I can't imagine not knowing right now and I'm only 15. I'm so sorry.
