An easy mistake to make. Hospitals often insert a note saying: You'd better get, WELL, Fargo, so we can CHASE you down and take your SACKS of GOLD, MAN.

That sucks. My wife was in the hospital overnight in April. We just got the $1700 copay bill this week. Would have been $16,000 without insurance. Welcome to America, land of the free - well, not counting healthcare.

Yeah, I once saw a medical bill for someone over a $100k. This was like 20 years ago. Patient died regardless, and the medical bills were more than the cost of a house at the time.
