#32 - There are plenty of excellent therapists out there. There are also some crappy ones. Making a generalization that they're all worthless because you had a bad experience with one person does a huge disservice to all the people who could be greatly helped by seeing a therapist. I think I saw 5 people before finding someone I really like. Not all therapists are right for all patients. And anyone who says "just go out and live life" doesn't get it. Of course going out and doing things is important, but sometimes people have to figure out *how* to do that, which can be especially hard for someone who doesn't have a lot of friends or just moved to a new area.
Something similar happened to be a few months back. My therapist clinic moved, but she forgot to tell me (I later learned they moved in a rush i.e. 4 hours). I was very confused when I showed up and the doors were papered....

Wow. So harsh
#8 FTW, The Secret is pretty sweet OP - I've been there too. Shit, sometimes I still feel like that - everyone does. But just because we feel like that doesn't mean it's true - I'm sure there are a lot of people who care about you a lot, sometimes it's just difficult for us to see it. At the very least, look how many people there are on this website that care enough to post comments sympathizing/empathizing with you! :) To quote Pac, "I know it seems hard sometimes but uhh... Remember one thing: Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep ya head up and handle it" (From Me Against The World)
I've felt like that.
