That's the rule

Today, I was messaging a girl on a dating app. Things were going well so I thought I'd ask her to meet. She had listed hiking as an interest 3 times on her profile so I suggested we meet at a state park. She told me she doesn't hike on a first meet and blocked me. FML

Meeting a stranger for a hike on a first meet may have set alarm bells for them. You'd want to suggest meeting at a place where there will be people around and not wind up so easily secluded.

Even if it did trigger alarm bells for her, she could have suggested an alternate meetup, like go for coffee or something.

that's not that bad, that's call rejection and as a man you have live with that until you get the one..keep doing what you are doing you'll plug that **** on a nice pussy 1 day

Tell her you don’t mind if she doesn’t “hike” on the first date, but you’re curious about a different four-letter activity. ;)

Makes sense. I mean what if you were an axe murderer?

Hey serial killer—go for Starbucks on the first date...there’s always time for a “hike.”

Seriously you need to stop getting hung up over people you've only known for three days through a text bubble. Yes, it sucked, she obviously had no real interest, but that's allowed. Move on.

The blocking seems excessive, but you can't really blame her for not wanting to wander into the wilderness with some random guy from the internet she doesn't know!

I mean blocking is a bit extreme because she didn't explain why it's worrisome, but suggesting a hike upon a first date is a little bit Ted Bundy dude.

I thought it was a good try. maybe next time suggest meeting at REI Cabelas or whatever local sporting goods store
