The grind mindset

By How?! - 06/10/2021 02:00

Today, after enduring chemo, radiation treatments and several surgeries in order to beat cancer, being immunocompromised and catching Covid, I haven’t been able to work for years. Despite all that, I still get told I’m lazy and need to "just go get a job" when I try to get social security. FML

I was paralyzed from herniated disc in my lower back. I had to fight for mine for 7 years despite their drs showing I only had 22% feeling from my waist down. After my first rejection I worked off the record jobs because no legit place would hire me, too much of a risk. Keep at it. It may not be easy but it is worth it in the long run. And tell anyone saying that to stuff it. When they are in your shoes then they have a say.

it's unfortunate but this is what happens when you let business run the country

There are those who believe that some people get cancer on purpose to avoid work. You didn't do that, right?

I have Crohns Disease and have been through the exact same thing. Injectables made my immune system worse, hospitalized, nearly got Covid, nearly died from a blood disease and still denied disability and told to get a job. The government can kiss my bleeding ass XD hahaha

My mother had fought cancer for years and her doctor got fed up with her work place and pushed her to go on long term disability. That stuff took a good year to finally settle in.
