hfslkp47012759 tells us more.
OP here:) Y'all are pretty nice xD I should have been more specific...if I'm standing even an inch from my chair I receive comments about how I should not take the job lightly and someone could come in. What's even more ironic is that he actually recommends that I stretch in the back room, but like I said, I am given a talking to if I move much further than the printer...all in all I do enjoy my job:) I was very lucky to get it at all and I'm saving up for college. I doubt that I'll be able to fix my back issues at the university, but I'll do my best:) Kisses, Sophie ?

Find out if you can't get an adjustable table or one of those bouncy ball chairs.
Use a saddle stool!! Helps your back and hips so much!! He should be telling g you this....
Get a yoga ball. Its better for you anyways.
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine. Got it? If you didn't, let me clarify this for you: chiropractic is nothing to do with medicine, so chiropractors are full of shit. It is OK to be a front-desk receptionist in a charlatan's office if you can't find a better job, but YDI for asking one about back pain. Like #22 said, go see a doctor (MD means medical doctor; DC means doctor of crap).
This. Going to a chiropractor is actually worse for you then ignoring an issue. Chiropractic is dangerous, OP, see a real doctor.
A pediatric chiropractor has successfully kept my four-year-old from surgery. He is also regularly monitored by his surgeon who has confirmed that the chiropractic treatment is effective. Don't paint them all with the same brush.
Go find a new surgeon. Your current one is a quack. I have evidence and data on my side, you have an unverified anecdote. I would post sources, but FML won't let me.
Contact human resources concerning it and request a stand up desk.
Considering most of these are small practices, it is very doubtful they actually have an HR department. It is most likely a one man business.
Talk to him about setting it up as a standing desk area; after all, other patients of his will have a similar problem so it will benefit them to see the solution in action.
Get a taller desk. Or one you can adjust the height on. Just tell him that your chiropractor recommended it. ;)
You should purchase a yoga ball! It would help you to move around and sit which might help with back pain!
You should get the hint, that he wants you gone...
I've heard that people should avoid sitting for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Maybe you should have a conversation with him about it...
Get a "doctors" note from him, just so you can flash it in his face when he questions why you're standing at work. I'm sure you both will appreciate the redundancy.
