I've had MS symptoms since I was 15, but it wasn't diagnosed until I was 18. Between that time I was diagnosed with 2 other auto-immune diseases, and at one point was taking 5 different pills a day plus the daily Copaxone shot. I had been on the Copaxone for over a year when my symptoms recurred suddenly, and in a fit of depressed rage I gave up taking it. It didn't fix anything and after a round of steroids I found that my MS had progressed beyond the attack that I had gotten used to. I slowly gave up on each medication, and today I'm only taking one essential med for my thyroid, with the occasional aleve for my arthritis. I've dealt with this for a long time, feel free, if you ever want to, to message me and I'll try to help. Please also check out your local MS society, they have loads of helpful info and are very supportive.
Is your doctor Bob Ross by any chance?
Well my brother's type 1 diabetes was discovered by accidents, and that saved us a lot of trouble, so at lest you found it
I have it too! Check out MultipleSclerosis.net for articles by patients!
Welp, that sucks. Found out I had it 3 months or so ago, my neurologist was similarly off-hand. Pretty sure it's because it's their day job, and they break it to a dozen people a day. Hope it isn't causing you too much grief. If you end up on Copaxone, make sure they give it to you for free and try to avoid developing a pavlovian reaction to the stupid auto-injector noise. I just do it manually these days, way faster and less stressful.
I ride the MS150 for people who have Multiple Sclerosis, stay strong
What kind of dickbag says 'you deserve multiple sclerosis'
Sounds pretty good to me. My dad has to get treatment every month for his so it's good you caught it early. Good luck OP.
How's that a "happy" accident? Getting pregnant by accident and then your kid gets rich and pays for you to retire in a mansion, that's a "happy" accident.
How can someone say YDI seriously you guys are the worst. Sorry OP hopefully everything turns out fine

It's happy because he found it and can treat it before you get seriously affected by it.
At least it was discovered but your doctor has very poor bedside manner OP. Sorry about that :/
