Today, after leaving work at 10 pm, I took a shortcut to the highway. After getting lost, my GPS informed me that the service was unavailable and I should try back in an hour. This occurred moments before I ran out of gas. FML

You kind of deserve it. NEVER take a shortcut unless you're absolutely sure it will get you to where you're going. ALWAYS fill up on gas BEFORE you're in danger of running out. And if you own a GPS...freaking use it BEFORE you get lost!

It's probably not a real GPS, but one of these phones which emulate GPS by triangulating via cell towers.

This is why I don't own a GPS. Reliance on technology is one thing, but this is too much. You don't know how to get to the highway from your work?? Seriously, man, wtf?
