Today, after months of looking forward to my new fencing lessons and speculating endlessly about the people who might be in my class, I went to my first lesson. I was the only one who showed up. FML

Today, I was at the gym, well intent on trying a new workout class. I was the only person in the class and the instructor was clearly disappointed. He reluctantly gave me the class but I could tell he was hating the whole experience. FML

Today, I decided to go to a therapy group to help with my anxiety and to meet people who felt similar. I joked with my friend that no one would turn up as people might feel anxious about going. I was right. I was the only one there. FML

Today, I decided to show up to my new class an hour early, to be able to choose my seat, and figure out how the computer lab works… only to find out that the lab was locked and I had to wait until the professor unlocked it. FML

Today, I finally got the guts to walk out of class 30 minutes early, only to find that the back door was locked. As I stood there like an idiot trying to get it open, all 200 people in my class turned to laugh. My professor stared at me. I then walked back to my seat, sat down, and unpacked. FML

I took fencing in college and it's not nearly as cool as you'd think. It's a very boring sport to watch. Our instructor told us he also taught a course in the Theater Department called Swashbuckling. That's the awesome swordplay you see in movies and in plays. ****! I wish I took that!

I hate when that happens! Which is why I've gotten into a bad habit of not doing something if my friend doesn't either which is so anti-social of me but I can't stand the awkward silence of like 3 people who I don't know. FYL
