Today, after the fourth time telling my roommate I'm highly allergic to her scented products, I came back to find all 6 of our wall outlets using Glade plug-ins. They were set to high. FML

Um no, I passed out and wrote this after I was forced to go to the hospital by my floors RA.

You see, we never really know what goes on behind thee scenes of FML's like these. Perhaps OP deserved this based upon previous interactions with said roommate? Perhaps her roommate is simply an ass? We may never know.

Never tell a girl your greatest weakness.

I have chronic sinusitis and one of my in laws always has scented candles burning in every room. Even the small bathroom. The vent in there helps a little. I don't want new in laws and can't throw their things away, so I pre medicate. Hopefully, OP isn't stuck with this person at a dorm for the school year. Good luck!

learn to take a shower. Your roommate is probably trying to hint at something, like you stink.

46 You're an idiot. If there have been more than three conversations on this allergy subject, that's PLENTY opportunity for roommate to tell OP about any B.O. issues. Glade girl is being a spiteful ****.

I'm sorry, but you can't really expect people to give up certain things they are used to. You learn that when you start living with people you don't really know that well... this is an extreme case, but no matter how many times I tell my roommates to clean up their spills, turn off the lights when they leave a room, or not be so loud late into the night, they will never change & sometimes act even more obnoxiously because no one likes to be told what to do. I suggest finding a more sensitive roommate. It's not worth constantly fighting about. Although her buying a bunch of those plug-ins was a complete bitch move, I just think you two should live apart.

There's a big difference between not doing something because your roommate finds it annoying and not doing something because your roommate is allergic to it. When people move in with each other, they of course need to make compromises, adjust their expectations, etc., but one deliberately jeopardizing the health of the other is inexcusable.

jeez it's not like she just hates those scent plug ins, she allergic to them you moron, which means they could kill her, hell if you go and read any of the OPs responses you'll know she passed out and went to the hospital

Easy fix. Take a shit on her bed where the pillow goes and replace her pillow. When you see her after she finds it simply smile and say "I bet you are glad you have those room fresheners." Problem solved.
