Today, after years of being terrified of those biscuit cans that pop when you unwrap them, I finally decided I'd open one myself. I'm sitting in the hospital with a sliced hand from the lid and can feel therapy in my future. FML

Sounds like a much more rational fear now.

Has anyone ever told you not to touch the edge of the metal lid?

Ironically I was making biscuits earlier. Those popping things scare me too but that's why you have to be careful.

I'm having trouble understanding how one could actually be scared of those... I suppose the popping sound IS rather sudden and loud, admittedly I've even jumped a few times at it, but a full on phobia about them? Wow.

I feel you, OP. I am terrified of those stupid cans. In middle school, I had one pop in my hands during Home Ec class. It hurt like a little bitch, startled me nearly to tears, and the teacher glared at me at took ten points off my grade because "it wasn't opened near a counter".

Well that lawsuit can pay for all that therapy.

OP sounds like a hypochondriac, or just an incredibly paranoid person. They're made out of effing cardboard except for the lid. Why did you twist it by the lid? Common sense, people. Good lord.

"Doc I have a fear of canned biscuits!" Sheesh. No wonder those guys charge hundreds of dollars an hour with whiners like you

im sorry ihve to be the dick , but common there is a "pull string here to open" feature on all the cans. and they are Cardboard cans. ydi op and one day you will starve Cuase your cant over come reading instructions.
