Today, after years of providing daily various home-made colourful meals for three kids and a husband, I was asked to "cook something cool, like instant hamburgers, not that lame healthy shit". FML

Kids have never appreciated good food. Kids have always wanted chocolate or junk food for every meal. It's just how they are.

Eh, sometimes it's nice to eat crap. ESPECIALLY if you rarely get the chance. I remember begging my mum for crappy school dinners even though she made lovely packed lunches. But I'm sure if you fed them only instant food from now in the novelty would wear off pretty quickly. And when they're older and probably look back on family meals fondly, appreciate the effort you put in and may want to copy your recipes so they can cook the same for their kids, if they have them. :)
