Today, at my new job, I walked into the office to hear my supervisor and HR manager talking about how, "the new guy isn't very smart, but we can get him to do the shit work for a couple weeks." Gee, thanks. FML

Just quit and find a new job. Or stick it out and show them that you are worth keeping. There's two solutions to every problem.

Here's your chance to prove them wrong. Be a total badass and make them feel shitty.

don't quit your job stick it out show them you are more then they expected. apply for other jobs while you work there and once you get something better quit and watch them beg you to stay.

bro be a badass then causally give them a two weeks while they on lunch

Start looking for a new job, maybe this just is not the job for you. Just because you don't excel at this job doesn't mean you won't excel elsewhere. We all have different talents and strengths.

They could have been messing with you.

The same thing pretty much happened to me at my work. I'm not stupid, but most of my coworkers seem to think so. They practically ignore me most of the time, and when they talk to me, I can hear the condescending tone in their voices. They also leave all the crap jobs like taking out the trash to me. I want to quit or say something, but this is my first job and my mom is friends with my boss.

Doesn't mean you have to put up with it. If people see a weakness they'll exploit it. I'm almost 40 and have lots of experience with difficult coworkers. Unfortunately attitudes not much different at a McDonald's or an investment firm. Be polite but let people know you aren't gonna take their crap

Report them to corporate, especially Toby, nobody likes Toby.
