Some people. You don't want to be stuck working this those losers. No respect, whatsoever... Good riddance OP. For the future, please bring your CV to a writing assistance centre or workshop. They can look it over with you, make sure spelling and grammar is up to par, and also assist you in making sure that your content contains what future employers are seeking. Don't give up. Keep fighting the good fight! The job search can be difficult, but one day, you'll find the right fit. Perseverance is key. Good luck! :)
People do write hilarious things on applications. My favorite was someone wrote their previous job, then under "position" they wrote the address. For a reference they used a pastor, and for position it said like 'that one church at the corner of blah blah and blah blah'. hahahaha. Shake it off, look at your application for cheesy sounding or irrelevant things.
Methinks you should check your application/cover letter/resume for spelling and grammatical errors. If someone was reading my application and they started laughing within the first few seconds, I would think there was something seriously wrong with what I did. They could just be assholes too, but you should cover all your bases just to be safe.
Read what
Did the application read: "I want job, you give me job, ok?
That's one super long walk out the door!
that seems illegal
That's invading the privacy. It's personal information, you don't shared that to the public. What the person is rude and disrespectful.
