Today, I asked my best friend why she didn't ask our other best friend Anna to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. She said, "She's too pretty. I need ugly bridesmaids to make me look better." I am the maid of honor. FML

Today, I was the Maid of Honor at my friend's wedding. Months earlier, we had a bitter fight, but she picked out a beautiful dress for me and I thought we were past it. When I began speaking, the lights changed to a weird brightness and my friend snickered. My dress was completely see-through. FML

Thats really mean! I know how you feel though. I was friends with this one girl and we were hanging out with one of our other friends. We were around guys and our other friend was getting all the attention. We all were leaving and my friend said, "We shouldn't hang out with her anymore." I had asked why. She replied, "Shes too pretty and gets all the attention. I have to have ugly friends." She called me her ugly friend. 0_o

For my wedding, I picked beautiful bridesmaid dresses because I didn't want ANYTHING ugly around me while standing at the altar. Your friend needs to get a good therapist, because she not only has a skewed point of view, but she also has no self-esteem. Besides, any person who would say something like that to a friend (a friend who is probably very pretty) is not a person you should spend any time with. I would sell my bridesmaid dress back (or keep it, if it's pretty) and not involve myself with her wedding day. She's pretty much shooting herself in the foot, anyway, because the maid of honor usually does TONS of work for the wedding she's going to be in. Just because it's her special day doesn't give her the right to be a bitch (what kind of person marries a girl like that?). Don't let people like that walk all over you.
