Today, I asked my mother to take a picture of me with my phone. She managed to drop the phone thrice within 5 minutes. Now the phone is busted and she refuses to pay for the repairs. FML

I'm proud of you for using thrice (: hmm I'm going to assume for argument that you paid for it and in that case you deserve a replacement from her. Sorry that when it comes to family it gets complicated. Best of luck

You asked your mom to hold your phone. She dropped it once, and you let her try again. She dropped it twice, and you let her try again. Then she dropped it a third time and now you are upset and want her to pay for it. You asked her to hold it, she didn't borrow it from you. You saw that she wasn't doing well with it, but you continued to let her handle it. This is on you.

If you’re so fancy you use “thrice,” you can probably afford a new phone. I’ll bet your poor, dumb mom says “three times” — silly plebe!

Aside from her ridiculous clumsiness, you shouldn't demand someone pay for something of yours after asking them to use it. You took the risk of someone else handling something of yours.

Doesn’t matter. The dumb bitch (mom) still broke the phone.6

I would agree if it was something complicated or not straight forward. For example op lives in a country primarily that uses gas but her vehicle uses diesel with no indicator on the gas tank. But come on you realize monkeys can take photos with a phone it's common practice and there is no excuse.

I have to agree especially since it seems like OP did not have a case on her phone.

It’s your mom! You probably broke her genitals (for a while, at least) when you came into the world. Now, you can call it even.

When your mother has fingers made of butter do not hand her your phone.

Maybe you should have had a phone case, or something other than an Apple

Hate to say it but that risk is on you. If someone is gonna hold me responsible for something like that I would just refuse to ever hold anything of theirs again, even if they need me to.

Why didn't you take the phone back after she dropped it once? Fool me once shame on you, fool me thrice

photoshop a phone where you would be in all her pictures on the wall.
