Today, I began training my replacement at work. She's a senior citizen. She got excited when I taught her how to highlight text on the screen and double-click the mouse because she "never knew how to do those fancy tricks." The job is entirely computer-based. I have to train her for 6 weeks. FML

And that's why you have to train her. Now just do the job, which you're getting paid to do, and stop complaining.

I'd shoot myself. Some things are impossible. And when it's time to replace the old lady...

Tell her the company's training website is lemonparty.org maybe she'll have a heart attack and you won't have to worry about it.

I mean, it's awesome that she's so excited to learn...but why would they hire a person with no computer skills for a computer-based job? Sounds like even grannies lie on their resumes.....lol

Stop being such a tool about it. I'm sure she knows a hell of a lot more about certain things than you do. Just because someone is an OAP doesn't make them stupid.

OAP? Old Ass Person? OP did she tell her pussy to get the mouse?

This doesn't surprise me, I wonder what some employers are thinking when they employ people like this. Where one of my realitives worked, they hired 2 people (both from Pakistan) and part of the job description was "good english speaking and reading/writing skills". Neither could speak very good english and it was discovered later that neither of them could write in ANY language.

So many companies hire computer retarded old people for computer based jobs it's disturbing...
