Today, I begged my husband to take me to the ER cause my stomach hurt so bad I thought I was gonna die. He told me to go sit on the toilet and stop being a drama queen. I drove myself to the hospital just in time for my appendix to burst. I almost died because my husband was busy playing Xbox. FML

Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML

Today, I rushed my wife to the ER because she was having abdominal pains. She was crying in the car and very faintly said, "If I die, our daughter goes to my sister and they get everything in my will." We later found out she was just having a bad gas problem. FML

Today, I crawled into my mom's room to tell her my stomach was in massive pain. She ended up throwing me out of the room while spraying me with Lysol. My appendix was about to burst and I needed surgery. FML

Today, I was feeling really sick when I was with my boyfriend at the park. When we were walking, I got really dizzy and collapsed. My boyfriend didn't catch me. His mom took me to the hospital. While I was being poked with needles, he was at home playing COD. FML

Today, I woke up with horrible pain in my gut. It got worse and worse, and I started vomiting from the pain. My mom said it was the flu and that I needed to "man up." It turned out to be appendicitis, and I'm now typing this from my hospital bed. FML

Today, while grocery shopping, I was having such terrible abdominal pains I could hardly walk. As I'm 8 months pregnant, I told my husband we should head home. He thought a better idea was to run through the store and hide from me, hoping to induce labor by making me chase him. FML

Today, I felt a very sharp pain, like my appendix was going to burst. After going to the doctor, I was rushed to the hospital to get tests done. The doctors later told me there's nothing wrong, I was just constipated. I went to the hospital for them to basically tell me I'm full of shit. FML

Today, I was having horrible morning sickness. I was violently throwing up, could hardly breathe, and was gasping for air between each round of puking. My husband, in the other room playing video games, snapped and shouted, "Why can't you just be quiet?!" FML

OP honey, I hope you're felling better and it's good that you got to the hospital before it was too late to do anything. I don't feel like I'm a good judge for your husband, seeing as I only know about him from this, but he sounds like he needs a swift kick in the ass. He was stupid beyond measure in deciding XBox was more important than his wife, who was clearly in serious pain. I can only hope he's realized this. Heaven bless you.

wow, your husband fails on several levels. First, his wife is in agony and instead of taking her to the hospital he plays xbox and tells her to stop being a drama queen. Secondly, people with appendicitis are usually sick and in pain for a few days before the appendix ruptures - surely he would have noticed you'd been unwell for a few days already. You prob should have called 911 instead of driving yourself, though. And then humiliated your husband when the paramedics arrived and saw him too busy playing games to look after you.

I totally agree with #348. Your husband should have been caring for you, and especially taken you to the doctor or the emergency room when you asked. Like some others have said here, I would be consulting either a marriage counselor or a divorce lawyer. Only you can decide why you're choosing to remain with a man who cares so little about you. You deserve better. Get well soon.
