This is an FML because the father said something horribly inappropriate. It's a matter of tact. You NEVER talk about divorce when someone tells you about their upcoming marriage. The way that when a friend excitedly tells you about their pregnancy, you don't start talking about the abortion you had and how glad you were to have it. It's just really inappropriate. And tells people you are socially retarded. It reminds me of a story I read where a random stranger gave the bride-to-be (at her bachelorette party dinner) divorce advice since "your marriage will probably fail." Yeah. Just rude. And really, really not cool.
I'm surprised you didn't know when your parents got divorced. I know when my parents got divorced, how old they were, how old I, and my three siblings were, and how long they had been married. And I was eight when it happened. You certainly don't sound like you're 30, you sound like Kim Possible.
whats up with all the marrige and proposing fmls lately?......
how does she seem like Kim Possible?......
Haha my parents are still married bitchez!!!
Yeah, definitely not the right time to bring that up, but it isn't really an FML.

My Parents were divorced by the time they were 26. Congratulations!
Based on his inability to determine appropriate versus inappropriate comments, I advise you not to let your Dad have the microphone to say a toast at your wedding reception.
