what idiot do you have to be to not take it out, if you're planning on jumping in the pool on purpose?? you deserve it!
Shit while u were in the air or a couple of seconds in the pool you should ofvtaken out your phone asap and take out the battery and let it dry then clean it with a cotton swab of alcohol rubbing and let it dry then put it in rice or trap it in a container with the balls that comes with shoes. And it would be fine
putting it in rice doesn't really work. my brother got into a similar situation as OP and tried the rice thing, it didn't really help. the screen was still filled with water, luckily it was still under warranty.
That will do nothing to the blackberry. I dunked my friends blackberry several times in water, it works perfectly. Just blowdry it and it starts to work again.
You are an asshole friend. What kind of asshole dunks their friend's blackberries in water?
exactly what i was thinking
Bloody hell guys, maybe his friend said "hey look my blackberry is waterproof, want to try?". The comments on this app/site are beyond ridiculous sometimes ??
put it in rice for a few days it DOES work atelast it did for my brothers samsung memoir when something similar happened the only mark left was a little blotch of water on the screen other then that worked fine
DON'T BLOW DRY IT - that actually can ruin it. My cousin works for a cell phone company, and he said blow drying it is the WORST you can do - what should be done is you take apart your phone (as much as you as a customer can; so the battery, chip, maybe the cover if you can, I don't know if it's possible with your blackberry). Then you place it outside on a nice day so the water can evaporate; however, make sure it is in the shade somewhere. It should evaporate slowly, rather than having the sunlight directly hitting it. My phone got wet, and I dried it in the sun, and when he came to check it out, he said that was what caused my phone to stop working. He told me I should have done the above. Hopefully that helps.

i always dropped my phones in the pool. i just waited a few days or less and it would be working. i always had other phones i could use in the mean time
could have been a ninja and take your phone out really fast and throw it on the grass next to the pool!

Same thing happened to me with my phone. Put it in a bag of rice! :)
